I love to sew! I like to explore sewing by creating new patterns, creating clothing, and making gifts for other people. I am especially into textiles. In my dreams I am a textile designer, creating prints and colors, finding the perfect texture and print for a project.
Creating patterns is unlike anything else. You have to know your subject, you have to anticipate the way each piece will fit together, and you have to be able to visualize how it will come together. Having a mistake can lead to disastrous consequences. Being careful is important, and knowing the construction of garments as well as the fit also plays a big part in pattern making. Making gifts is my favorite part of sewing. I like to sew gifts for others because each item is unique and shows you really put time into making the gift for someone else. People usually appreciate your gift more when it is made.
I learned much in this class about writing html, when I started this class I had never before seen code and never knew the basics of creating a website. As the semester went on and I grew more comfortable with HTML, CSS becasme more fascinating. I truly enjoyed project 3 and creating a website using CSS3.
Then animation in CSS3 was my favorite part. I enjoyed trying to use code to tell an object what to do on my screen. Even the trial and eroor was fascinaing to me. this is when I truly learned how writing code could be enjoyable and it helped that creating my CSS Zen Garden site showed me how to enjoy giving life to a site.
