One interest that is dear to my heart is music. It all started in middle school where I got a deep passion for music. I played the clarinet, saxophone and piano from middle school all the way up to the end of high school. I still play the piano and love it. Besides playing, I love listening to music every day. I love just about every type of music but my favorites are jazz, alternative rock, latino, and classical. This world would definitely be boring without music so I am glad that we have it to spice things up and make this world great.
Music has been very enjoyable in my life and has been a great blessing to others. During my mission in almost all my areas I played the piano for sacrament meeting and priesthood so they were able to enjoy the blessing of having a pianist since not many people play the piano in guatemala. When there aren't many piano players in my wards here at school I play for them too. I love music and especially love the piano. It's such a stress reliever and it helps you feel better. Overall music is a big part of my life.
I didn't have that much knowledge of html or css this semester but now i have learned some cool tricks. I would say my favorite part was when we got creative with our pages for project 3. I was able to make my moon get bigger and rotate when you hovered over it. Something that I like about CSS is that you can style it to be anything you want and can make it compatible for all the browsers. I believe that having these basics skills could help me with a future job.
Another thing I learned about CSS is that it isn't the easiest thing in the world. The
hardest thing I found was positioning, like absolute and relative. Another aspect i found
difficult was padding and margin. It took me a while to understand that but now I think I finally
understand it. One trick that Brother Judkins taught me is to put background colors on elements
in the page so that you can see what is happening with it. These helps me to visualize it better.
CSS has been a whole lot of fun and i hope to continue to get better at it. It just takes
practice.
