I love being a dad. Granted, I'm pretty new at it, but nothing brings as much joy as spending time with my wonderful wife and beautiful girl.
Perhaps the most interesting thing that I have found is not the new duties around the house--although diapers, boogers and bottles are pretty exciting--but the fresh take on life. Everything is in terms of the little girl.
Besides that, I've found that in the last few months, I have come to better understand my parents in ways I didn't think possible. We've always had a great relationship, but now I am beginning to understand the feelings and the emotions and the love behind anything they did and said to me growing up. I get it and I'm that much more grateful for their examples as parents.
As wonderful as PHP is in generating dynamic content, I would have to choose CSS as the greatest thing I learned. Once I got into CSS every project in COMM 310 became an absolute blast creating.
At the same time, as I learned CSS, I learned even more about best practices. There are little things I can do with my workflow and habits that streamline the web design process. Things like mood boards, mock-ups, wireframes and more help me make the best web design possible.
