Into Family

Comm 310 Projects:

Family

Family is the most important thing to me in the world. I just like people in general, but my family members are my favorite people to be around. There are a lot of fun activities to participate in, but if you take away my family, those things become meaningless

My fondest dreams in life are currently being fulfilled. I'm married to the girl of my dreams, Julianne. So far, we've had two beautiful children: our son, Gerald, and our new baby daughter, Magdalene. I'm the second in a family of 8 children. I have amazing parents, brothers, sisters, in-laws, and extended family members.

As I've been going through college, many people (especially my family members) have asked me what I want to do (talking about what I want to do for a career). There are several things I like to do, but I have never been able to give a solid 'I want to be a...'. Until now, I didn't realize that the reason I have had such a hard time knowing exactly what I want to do in life is because I'm already living my greatest dream. I've always looked forward to getting married and having children of my own. Now that I'm living that dream, I don't feel too picky about what else I will do in life.

Say it like it is

The most important thing I learned this semester is to properly label content in html. Since I began learning how to write code and what different things mean, I've made a habit of looking at the source code for different web pages I visit (particularly those that I want to know how they work). Many websites use generic tags like <div>. Their html seems very messy and hard to read. I guess code isn't generally easy to read, but some code is much easier to read than other code. Proper markup really makes the difference in code readability.

CSS and php have been awesome to learn. I still have a lot to learn, particularly about what CSS3 can do and more about how to use PHP. So far it's been great, and I plan to continue learning about web page design.
