I love food! All kinds. Hot or cold. Restaurant or homemade. Fresh or cooked, etc. I get excited to try a new restaurant, or a new recipe. My husband and I love to try out new places to eat, especially when we go out of town. I like all kinds of quality of food. Something as unappealing as frozen microwave macaroni and cheese sounds delicious to me. But on the other hand so does a gourmet 3 course meal! My taste buds are easily satisfied, depending on what I am in the mood for. There are a few things I do not prefer, but for the most part, if there is a plate of food in front of me, I am happy and indulging.
Some of my favorite foods are burritos, Panini sandwiches with delicious meats and cheeses, my mother's pot roast and mashed potatoes, a quality hamburger, chocolate milk, flavorful salads, shrimp cocktail, and pahd thai. Some foods that I really actually do not prefer are onions, carrots, cream of mushroom, bologna, and some kinds of nuts. It is much easier for me to think of foods I love, than foods I dislike though.
This class has taught me what I thought was impossible. When I took Advanced Visual Media, we learned to make a website just based on design and uploading the design via Dreamweaver. Whenever I clicked on the html, I was so overwhelmed and glad I didn't have to touch it. I never thought I'd be able to actually comprehend it, but this class has taught me to do that.
This class has also taught me that a website isn't just html. It is also made up of css, and php. Understanding these elements had helped me to build my own websites, and also realize how things were done on other websites or how complex other websites are. It has also taught me to recognize a good quality website from a bad one. Based on what I've learned is appropriate on the web, I now know what to do to make a website more dynamic and easy to use, or user friendly.
