When I was in high school I had an old tape player. As a young musician I would record my music to the tape, play it back, and simultaneously record another part on top of the first. I was fascinated by this simple technology. In many ways you could say this is how my love for recording music began.
Today, I have my own home recording system. I have recorded many local artists, and I have even worked on a couple albums. I am still learning, and always will be. There is nothing more satisfying then hearing a well recorded song that I recorded.
Before this class I had not written a single line of code. I hope my work is a clear indication of my progress. I can now write and understand HTML, CSS, and a little PHP. I am extremely excited by what I have learned, and I am even more excited to see where this knowledge will take me.
I think the most important thing I learned in the class isn't a cool CSS or PHP trick. the most important thing I learned was how to find the answers to the many questions that would inevitably surface as I worked through a project. Sometimes I had to seek the help from a friend, other times I had to spend a few hours on Youtube. There is a wealth of information around us. Tapping into it is just a matter of will.
