Hello, my name is Trent Hampton and I am from Boulder, Colorado. I have been here at Brigham Young University Idaho for 4 years. I am graduating Spring 2012. I have been married to my best friend for 3 years and she is also going to graduate with me in the Spring. One activity that we love to do together is go longboarding. I first picked up a longboard in 2004 and haven't stopped doing it since.
We travel to different places and longboard down the hills that we find in the area. Our favorite place to longboard around Rexburg is up at Grand Targhee. Most of you know it as a ski and snowboard resort but we like to longboard down the road that leads up to the lodge. The fastest we have ever got going is 50 miles per hour, (don't worry we wear helmets). There is nothing better to me on a sunny day than to go longboarding with my wife and some good friends. We also hope to one day teach our kids how to longboard and make it a family activity.
This semester I learned a lot of different things but the one thing that really comes to mind is using JQuery and Lightbox to make pictures pop out of the page. I have always wanted to try to figure this out but have never really had the time. I used it on all of the pictures on Project One and have really enjoyed using it on my own website.
The next thing that I learned was how PHP can make building a web page much less tedious. It has given me a skill set that I can use if I ever have to build many pages or many different functions on multiple web pages. This has been a really enjoyable class for me and I am sad that it is over.
