Christmas 2010
Dear Family and Friends:
We are grateful for this holiday season and the opportunity that we have to reflect back on all of our many blessings.
It has been another busy year for the Buck Family. One important highlight for this year includes the birth of a new grandson,
Oliver, in May (son of Jared and Leigh Anna). He is adorable! Joseph, his older brother, didn’t quite know what to make of this
new little person for a few weeks, but soon warmed up to him. Another important highlight was welcoming a new daughter-in-law into
the family. Andy and Kristin were married in September in a beautiful mountain setting – we are thrilled to have Kristin as part of
our family. Also, Jaime and Glenn celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary in October.
Travels for the year included a trip to Rexburg in January to take Zach back to BYU-Idaho (we’ll be doing this again soon), Rockies
Spring Training in March, and Disneyland in August (just Glenn, Jaime, and Zach this time).
Other fun events included our first viewing of the Parade of Lights downtown. The following day everyone traveled to the mountains
for our annual Buck Family Christmas tree cutting. The weather was quite warm this year, and fortunately there was very little snow.
Joseph was quite the trooper this year. He did most of the hiking by himself, only having to be carried once out of steep ravine. We all found some great trees!
Employment has been steady for all of us, which has been a blessing. Church callings keep us busy as well. Glenn was called to be
in the Bishopric in the spring, and Jaime continues her calling as the Stake Relief Society secretary. Unfortunately, we had to be
released in our callings as Temple workers because of Glenn’s new calling in the Bishopric. We miss being able to serve in that
capacity, but will hopefully be able to return to it someday.
We are thankful for this time of year when we celebrate the birth of our Savior. What wonderful blessings we enjoy each and every
day because of His love for us. May you all enjoy this wonderful Christmas season.
